Do I need to pay for a allied health assistant’s travel time?

We will aim to match you with an allied health assistant that is within 20 minutes driving distance from your home to avoid you paying travel fees. We normally don’t charge you for the allied health assistants travel time to and from your home.

However, according to the NDIS, the maximum amount of travel time an allied health assistants can charge for travel in metro areas is 30 minutes to the participant’s location and 30 minutes return travel. This will need to be discussed if you are matched with a therapy assistant who falls under this category.
