Appropriate Population: 

  • 5 years and up
  • Moderate or mild delay or age-appropriate cognitive, expressive and receptive language ability

Goal:

  • Giving follow-up questions
  • Giving information

Steps:

  1. Read out a comment– you can create your own or use the follow-up questions resource (target population 5-7 years old)
  2. The client needs to come up with 2 follow-up questions they would ask based on the given comment.

Step up: 

  • Take 5 conversational turns per comment

Step down:

  • Come up with 1 follow-up question to ask
